Two year old smash

When Graham’s mom mentioned a Taco TWOsday theme for his two year old pictures I was over the moon excited and had so many ideas! We decided on a fun taco cake smash and I couldn’t wait to start planning and creating the set. Cake smashes aren’t just for one year old’s anymore! I knew my favorite baker Kristi from Snacky French Cakes would totally nail this cake and I was right. Check out the amazing detail she put into the little tacos!

I firmly believe all cake smash sessions should start with classic portraits. These pictures are the ones you’ll hang big on the wall and the ones Grandma wants to frame. Graham has been visiting my studio since he was a newborn and just love celebrating milestones with him. I absolutely adore his personality! His mom always dresses him so well so I wanted to make sure to show off his amazing outfit. Graham did great with everything I asked him to do and looked like a professional model. He added a few of his own ‘poses’ too. Which one is your favorite?

It’s a fiesta!

After the portraits we jumped into our taco themed cake smash. I love pulling a bunch of little elements together to create a cohesive backdrop for our photographs. The set turned out bright, colorful, and fun and reminded me of a fiesta which is exactly what I had envisioned! I think Graham’s favorite part of this cake were the little tacos. He loved pulling them off, biting into them then stacking them on top of the cake. It has been amazing to watch him grow!
