Sweet little Montgomery and his parents visited my studio from Warrington for his newborn pictures. I had a wonderful morning talking and getting to know them. In the pre-session questionnaire his parents mentioned they’d like a rustic farmhouse feel and to use farming props, for instance. Incorporating farming into a newborn session was a first for me. However, I was looking forward to putting together something different for him! I was so excited when I found the perfect sized barn and the cutest little tractors. Through our talking I learned that Montgomery’s dad grew up on a farm and it was still close to his heart. I absolutely love to incorporate personalized touches into newborn sessions!
I decided to keep the session simple and focus on sweet and snuggly poses. Mom picked out my favorite dark brown bear hat which was the perfect accessory for the taco pose. We also chose to use a cute pair of blue overalls from my large collection of newborn clothing. This outfit was perfect and reminded me of a little boy on the farm asleep on the hay.
One of my favorite props to use is a small crate. Montgomery was wrapped in a cozy blue swaddle and snuggled a stuffed teddy bear. He fit so perfectly and looked so darling! This rustic farming inspired newborn photo session turned out exactly how I envisioned.
