Cake Smash Photography Round Rock TX
Hellooooo Texas! After months of searching, I finally signed the lease on a perfect space in June a few days after my husband and I purchased our home AND had our extended family vacation out of state. To say that those months were absolutely crazy is certainly a huge understatement. This beautiful girl and her wonderful parents were the first to visit me for cake smash photography Round Rock TX, shortly after moving in. I’m so thankful that they were willing to overlook the chaos of unpacking and setting up the studio so we could create an amazing session for their baby girl.
The family
After discussing a few different themes for her first birthday celebration, her parents chose to go with boho daisy. Mom & Dad also opted to start our session with a family portrait. I always love when parents choose this option since it is a wonderful way to help baby warm up to me while still feeling safe. This sweet girl stayed pretty serious for family portraits and saved her smiles for her individual pictures.
The Portraits
After the family portion, we jumped into the classic baby portraits. I pulled out a fun yellow flower backdrop that would coordinate with the boho daisy cake smash set. Anika loved my little bed and had fun knocking over the O-N-E letters too. I love how she held up her finger and showed us “one”! This bed and the letters are a must have for every classic one year old baby girl photoshoot.
The Cake Smash
Next we moved on to the cake smash photography. I loved putting this set together again! After a long break, it felt so great to pull out my backdrops and props and set up for a cake smash again. Mom & Dad brought these adorable glasses with her name on them. Let me tell you, one year olds don’t love keeping sunglasses on! However, I’m a fast shooter so I captured an adorable photo before she took them off. Anika was a little unsure when I first gave her the cake but she quickly decided to give it a try once I gave her the wooden spoon to use. Something about that spoon is pure magic… it always seems to encourage the little ones to dig in and get messy. Finally, we finished off this cake smash photography Round Rock TX session with a bubble bath. My baby sized tub is absolutely perfect for cleaning up sticky icing while enjoying a bit of splashing. This adorable girl loved bath time. Look at that sweet smile!

However I always do what I can to accommodate last minute bookings as well.
